Due to her recent outstanding achievement on Fermat, the national grade 11 mathematics contest, Linhui Huang has been invited to attend the University of Waterloo's Invitational Mathematics Workshop at the end of May. It is a prestigious honour to be invited to meet and work with members of the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. Congratulations!
Congratulations to Rikki Z and Andrew L who were both recognized as Provincial Basketball Graduating All-stars. Both guys will compete in the all star game and will be recognized at the awards banquet. Great job Pipers!

JTC is pleased to Present the Musical "Annie" from April 10-14, Staring Noelle Allen as Annie, Emma Warriner as Miss Hannigan, Colin Johnson as Oliver Warbucks and Amethyst Gamey-Wiebe as Grace. Fifty students, a dedicated crew and a fantastic pit band round out the entertainment. Monday's matinees are sold out but there are a few tickets left for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Night. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults. Phone 888-8930 for tickets or more information. JTC is participating in the 2016/2017 Canadian Student Tobacco, Alcohol and Drugs Survey. This is the only survey conducted nationally to monitor smoking, alcohol and drug use behaviours of Canadian youth and also asks questions about bullying, mental health and school connectedness. CSTADS is funded by Health Canada and in Manitoba will be implemented by CancerCare Manitoba. On April 26, 2017, students in grades 9 to 12 will take part in the survey in school.
