RCMP say they've used naloxone in a life-saving situation for the first time since they started carrying the opioid antidote.
Our next JT Parent Advisory meeting will be January 25 at 7 PM and contain a special 30 minute presentation on the Fentanyl drug crisis in Winnipeg. In December officials with the United Fire Fighters of Winnipeg union have declared it a crisis, saying their paramedics are seeing overdoses on a daily basis in all areas of the city and across all socio-economic backgrounds. The UFFW has launched a public awareness campaign with commercials and billboards, urging the public to talk to family and friends about the dangers "before tragedy strikes home." This is a great chance to get educated about this growing problem. Join us for a coffee and refreshments. A similar presentation will be given to students in February. Comments are closed.
